Originally from Vancouver, Nicholas Zirk currently lives and works in Toronto, ON. As an artist he is principally a painter, but also dabbles in some curation, and is currently beginning work on a publication. The work he makes is thematically nestled somewhere between the hilariously absurd, and hopelessly sad. He has exhibited across Canada in Victoria, Vancouver, Hamilton, and Toronto in both group and solo exhibitions. He is represented by Mark Christopher Gallery in Toronto. Zirk is the recipient of a 2020 Visual Artist Support Fund grant from the Toronto Arts Council, and has participated in residencies in both Vancouver and Toronto.
